A Daddy Kind of Day

I'm not one to talk to people in the restroom; it just doesn't feel right. Get in, do your business, and get out is my potty philosophy but one of my students walked in after me today and said she needed a daddy story. You see, I tell my classes stories about my daddy because he's the funniest man in the world and they love them. I guess she was having a rough day today and needed one.

When I got back to my desk, I had an email from him, here's an excerpt:

"Something I meant to ask you and Josh when you were in town - who do you recommend as a webpage host? I'm building a page on the subject of Apocalyptic eschatology (more commonly known as Biblical end times prophecy, the Tribulation, the Second Coming, the Rapture, among other terms).

There's a whole community of like-minded (or almost like-minded - - - o.k., some of them could be really off-the-wall) folk out there, and I want to post my stuff for others to read and comment on."

Daddy's gonna be blogging... too funny!

I guess the point of this post is that I miss him already which sucks because I won’t see him until May.

It's so cute when the parents get into technology. My favorite was when my parents got on AIM and would IM me from work.

Anyway, I posted a link to pictures on my blog when you have a chance...finally pictures of the outfit ;)

I always get a kick out of the parental units chatting with me on aim. It's great that they're trying to keep up technologically, but it's also... weird. Talking with my mom just reminds me of talking to a 12 year old on aol. 'ur late 4 class. c u later' Ah well, things can't be perfect.

As for blogging, I'd love it if my dad started one up, he's a fairly funny guy and has a really bent outlook on life. I pray they never find mine. It's kind of... incriminating.
